  1. Make sure your smartphone/tablet or laptop has Bluetooth capability.
  2. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone/tablet or laptop, and make sure it is turned on.
  3. Connect a headset to your Whooshi amp with a 3.5 jack.
  4. Put on your headset and push the MF Button (Power ON/OFF) on the amp. First, you will hear the “Power On” notification—keep holding the button until you hear the “Paring” notification.
  5. Your Whooshi amp will then appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  6. After you select your amp from the list of Bluetooth devices in your smartphone’s Bluetooth menu, you will hear the notification “Paired, your headset is connected”.

For some iPhone models, you will have to add your Whooshi amp twice: first as a headset (in iPhone’s Settings) and then into the Whooshi app to be able to actually control the amp and update its firmware.

If you connect the amp to your iPhone for the first time:

  1. Download the Whooshi app for iOS.
  2. Connect a headset to your Whooshi amp with a 3.5 jack.
  3. Put on your headset and push the MF Button (Power ON/OFF) on the amp. First, you will hear the “Power On” notification—keep holding the button until you hear the “Paring” notification.
  4. In your smartphone’s Bluetooth menu, you will see two devices sharing the same name listed under My Devices and Other Devices. You need to select the one from the Other Devices list. After you select your amp from the list, you will hear the “Paired, your headset is connected” notification.
  5. Open the app, go to the Settings menu, then to My Devices and select the Whooshi device.

For users of Software Version 13 (and higher) – the amplifier will be only in My Devices list.

If the amp has been paired with your iPhone already:

  1. Download the Whooshi app for iOS.
  2. Connect a headset to your Whooshi amp with a 3.5 jack.
  3. Put on your headset and push the MF Button (Power ON/OFF) on the amp. First, you will hear the “Power On” notification—keep holding the button until you hear the “Paring” notification.
  4. Open the app, go to the Settings menu, then to My Devices, and select the Whooshi device.

Please, сheck connection after each step.

  1. Ensure that your Whooshi device is turned on.
  2. Go to Bluetooth settings on your smartphone and make sure that Bluetooth is on.
  3. Put the Whooshi device in pairing mode.
  4. Unpair the Whooshi device in Bluetooth settings on your smartphone put it back in pairing mode

If you connect your amp to an Android smartphone for the first time:

  1. Download the Whooshi app for Android.
  2. Connect the amp to your smartphone via Bluetooth (see Question 1).
  3. Open the Whooshi app, go to the Settings menu, then to My Devices, and select the Whooshi device.

If the amp has been paired with your Android smartphone already:

  1. Download the Whooshi app for Android.
  2. Connect a headset to your Whooshi amp with a 3.5 jack.
  3. Put on your headset and push the MF Button (Power ON/OFF) on the amp. First, you will hear the “Power On” notification—keep holding the button until you hear the “Paring” notification.
  4. Open the app, go to the Settings menu, then to My Devices, and select the Whooshi device.

  1. Download the Whooshi app for Android or iOS.
  2. Connect the device to your smartphone, and then add it to your app (for iOS, see Question 2; for Android, see Question 3).
  3. Make sure your amplifier is in Pairing mode.
  4. Open the Whooshi app, go to the Settings menu, then to My Devices, and select the Whooshi device you connected there.

Tap Firmware Update to update firmware on your Whooshi amp.

Whooshi has no transmitter capabilities at the moment. We’re working on it.

  1. If your Whooshi amp is on, power it off.
  2. Connect the amp to your laptop with a USB Type-C cable.
  3. Connect a headset to your amp with a 3.5 jack.
  4. Put on your headset and push and hold the MF Button (Power ON/OFF) on the amp. Hold the button until you hear the “Power On” notification.
  5. Depending on your device’s OS, do the following:

iOS: go to System Preferences on your iOS device, and select Sound there. Then go to the Output menu and select Whooshi from the list there.

Windows: go to the Sound settings and select your Whooshi amp from the devices listed there.

Important: In USB-DAC mode, the amplifier’s microphone doesn’t work.

You can check your amp’s battery level in the Whooshi app (see Question 3/4 for adding your Whooshi amp into the app).
The app is available on Apple Store and Google Play Store.

If your Whooshi amp is powered on, its LED will not be blinking.

The amp supports the following codecs: SBC, Qualcomm® aptX™, Qualcomm® aptX™ Low Latency, Qualcomm® CvC™.

Yes, you can listen to music and charge the amp at the same time. When you connect the device with a USB Type-C cable, it will power off automatically. Power it on and connect to your smartphone/tablet or laptop (see Question 1).

Whooshi supports any headset as long as it is wired. The only requirement is that it needs to have a 3.5 mm jack.

No, the app has no support for streaming services at the moment.

For your audio profile to match the sensitivity of your hearing, we recommend that you pass a hearing test in a quiet room first. You can also create a new audio profile every 6 months to reflect any changes in your hearing.

You can add an unlimited number of devices into the app.

Whooshi is not water-resistant, so we recommend that you avoid getting it wet.

Whooshi amps are equipped with a built-in 300-mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 8 hours of continuous operation. You can charge them from a power outlet, as well as from your computer or a power bank.
